    Lindos: a magnificent acropolis on a imposing rock
    On the top of the rock stands a centuries-old acropolis, proudly overlooking the archipelagos. The acropolis bears silent witness to Lindos’ glorious past, a major naval power of ancient times which reputedly had a population of 17,000. 

    The view of Lindos village with its cubic houses sprawling down the hillside under the acropolis is one of the most photographed scenes in Greece. The whitewashed labyrinth of little alleyways was deliberately designed to confuse pirates; today this layout makes wandering around the town a real adventure!

    According to tradition the temple of Athena on the Acropolis was founded by Danaus, who came to the island with his 50 daughters to escape the rage of the goddess Hera. Follow the same ancient path that the ancient Rhodians took. When you reach the acropolis you will see a 280 BC relief of a Rhodian Trireme (ancient Greek warship) carved into the rock, an indication of the naval power of ancient Rhodes.

    Check-in: If you do not need a transfer, and you are coming to the harbor by yourself - you have to come for a check-in from 09:15 until 09:45 am to our meeting point at Gallias str. 6 (inside "Half Price Tours" office, next to Benetton shop, at Mandraki Harbor).     Departure: Every Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday at 10:00 from the meeting point in Rhodes town.
    It takes approx. 45-60 min. to reach Lindos.
    You will have around 3 hours free time in Lindos.
    Return: 15:00.

    Terms and Conditions

    Payment: You do not need a credit card to book this tour. Once you will make a booking online, you will get a booking confirmation/voucher to your email. You will pay all the amount for the tour, on the tour day.

    Cancelation: You can cancel the tour one week before the tour date. In order to cancel the tour, please send us an email to info@tourtlee.com.

    Tour conditions: The food and entrance fee to Acropolis of Lindos is not included in price.

    Children and infants: Children up to 12 years - 50% discount. Infants up to 5 years old - for free, must sit on the lap.

    Pickup & Drop-off from your hotel and back is not included in the price. You have to come to the meeting point in Rhodes town by yourself, or we can pick you up for extra cost - from 5€ to 10€ per person (both ways included) depending on the distance from your hotel to the meeting point.

    If you wish to be picked up, when booking, please select your hotel's name from the list, and system will calculate the total price with a pickup & drop-off from your hotel and back (both ways included).

    Total price (with both ways: pickup & drop-off from hotel and back included):
    o   €20  if you are coming to the meeting point in Rhodes town OR if you are staying in Kolymbia or Afandou.
    o   €25  from Rhodes city, Cruise Ship Port/Terminal.
    o   €27  from Kallithea, Koskinou, Faliraki, Ialysos, Ixia and around.
    o   €30  from Theologos and around.
